Teams may enter by invitation only.
Players Teams are to consist of 20 players under age 11 on 31st August 2017.
Rounds There will be three rounds
Reserves There will also be a reserves competition. If possible, please bring four reserves, who will play in a competition with the same move rate as the main competition. Before the day please let me know how many reserves you will be bringing.
Format Jamboree pairings will be used with 25 minutes for each player for all moves plus 10 seconds per move from the start. The second round will start at about 3.20 p.m., and the third round at about 4.30 p.m. EPSCA rules will apply. There will be a trophy to keep for the teams finishing first and second. There will not be a formal prizegiving, so players may leave when they have finished their third game.
Grading The results will be sent for ECF Rapid Play Grading. Please encourage all your players to be ECF members. Grading fees for players who are not ECF members will be paid out of the team entry fee.
Entry Fee There will be an entry fee of £15 per team. Cheques should be made payable to Maidenhead Junior Chess Club. For BACS payments, the bank account details are Barclays Bank, St Albans Branch, Sort Code 20-74-09, Account Number 43765997. The entry fee will pay for the use of the school, the two trophies and ECF game fee.
Refreshments It is anticipated that the school PTA will organise refreshments.
